Humboldt, IA – A car accident in Humboldt County on Wednesday afternoon left a Fort Dodge man and San Antonio Texas woman severely injured. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of 230th St. And Delaware Avenue in Humboldt County at 5:22 PM . According to the accident report, a white 2002 Toyota Tundra driven by Jillian Kathrens of Gilmore City failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a 2017 Grey Jeep Cherokee driven by Jacob Nicholas Davidson of Fort Dodge. Davidson and his passenger Marib Iley of San Antonio, Texas were transported by ambulance to Humboldt County Memorial Hospital ER to be treated for their injuries. The Jeep Cherokee was completely totaled in the accident. Kathrens received a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.
