American Legion Post 415 of Livermore is hosting a “Veterans Ride” October 8^th, sign up will be 10:00-11:00am with a Fee of $25 per bike/vehicle.  The ride will leave Livermore at 11:15am and ride to the following places:  VFW – Dakota City, Rails – Eagle Grove, Blue Moose – Renwick, American Legion – Corwith, Flipside & Handlebar – LuVerne then return around 5:30pm for a meal and entertainment by Jeremy Ober from 7-9pm.  For ride info contact Sue Fevold 515-368-0248,  If you are unable to attend and would like to donate, Venmo Christy Decker @Christy-Decker-23, 100% of sign in fees goes back to Veterans.

St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus Omelet Breakfast will be Sunday Oct. 16th.  If will be in St. Mary’s new parish hall from 9:30am  – Noon.   Adults-$10, children under 12-$5, pay at the door and carry outs are available.

Fall is here and that means it’s time for the Humboldt County Democratic “Old Time Stew Supper.” Mark your calendars for October 21st from 5-7pm at the VFW in Dakota City. Come enjoy Old Time Stew Supper, along with  homemade bread and fresh baked pies.  Vegan Options are also available. Cost is just ten dollars for adults and Kids 10 and under just five dollars. Eat in, Carry-Out and Curbside service is available. Tickets available from Kathy Eck at 332-4749 or at the door. That’s October 21st from 5-7pm at the VFW in Dakota City for the Humboldt County Democratic Old Time Stew Supper.

Humboldt County Pheasants Forever 2022 Pheasant Hunt is October 29, 2022, from 12-6pm at The Red Lantern in Bode.  There will be a raffle for 12 guns, tickets are $20 each or 6 for $100, Tickets can be purchased at: Red Lantern in Bode, Enduring Freedom in Dakota City, or Call Doug Vinsand (515)954-0449 or any Pheasants Forever member listed on the flyer.

This Saturday the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the DEA National RX Take Back event. Turn in unneeded medication for safe disposal.  So, bring all unneeded medications this Saturday from 10am-2pm to the Humboldt County Law Enforcement Center Lobby and support the DEA National RX take Back event.

Fall Festival, Broasted Chicken Dinner at the St. Mary’s Church on Sunday October 30^th from 10:30am – 1:00pm Inside Seating or Drive Thru.  The line for the drive thru will form on 4th Ave N from 4th St. to 3rd St.  Dinner tickets and raffle chances are available at Humboldt Engraving and the Parish Office Adults-$12.50, Children 4-8yrs-$5, 3 and under are free.  The Dinner is:  Broasted Chicken, Mashed Potatoes/gravy, Corn, Coleslaw/Applesauce, Dinner Roll and Homemade Pie or Bar.  TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE.

Livermore Faith United Methodist Church is having their “Harvest Supper” Sunday Oct. 30^th from 4:30 – 7PM.  Meal will be Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry relish, bread & butter, pies & desserts, coffee & water.  Tickets can be purchased at the Door, Adults $10 children under 10 $5.  For In-town delivery call 515-890-8909.

Mobile Food Bank Drive Thru at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds will be Wednesday November 9^th, from 4:30 -6:00pm or until food is gone.

Humboldt Sno-Skimmers are having their membership supper Friday Nov. 18, at River Valley Orchards.  Social hour begins at 6pm with the meal served at 7pm.  The meal is a Taco Bar the price/plate is $15 for adults and $10 for kids under 12.  Club membership dues are $40 a year for a family which includes $20 for ISSA dues.  There will be a raffle for those who attend the supper for a Blackstone Pro Series Cabinet griddle.  For more information contact Shane Braby at 515-890-1945.
