Wildcat Boys Track Earn Victory at Emmetsburg

Emmetsburg, Iowa — The Humboldt Wildcat boys track team earned another road victory winning the Emmetsburg Invite yesterday evening.

The Wildcats got first place finishes from their Shuttle Hurdle relay team, Sprint Medley, and 4×400 teams, while Denny Pedersen continued his string of dominance in the 200m and 400m.

Quinton Orr placed first in the 1600m run, as well.

Other notables saw Owen Terwilliger place second in both the shot-put and discus throwing 46-7″ in shot and 130″ in discus.

Caiden Baker and Joseph Shaner placed second and fourth in the high jump, while Jamison Heinz and Matt Miller went second and third, respectively, in the long jump.

Humboldt will be off today, but will return to the track Thursday at Storm Lake.

Field events will begin at 5:00 p.m.
