Humboldt, Iowa — Two men were able to escape injury following a two-vehicle accident that occurred near Wildcat Road yesterday afternoon.
The Humboldt Police Department says Officer David Jones was dispatched to US Highway 169 and 13th Street South to assist 43-year-old Randy Tinchner of Fort Dodge.
Tinchner told police he was traveling south and could not stop at the intersection so he drove into the snow bank.
Tinchner was then hit in the rear by the vehicle driven by Roger Birkhofer, 69, of Marion.
Birkhofer told police he was southbound and could not stop in time due to ice.
No charges were filed in the accident.
Both parties were able to drive away.
