Waterloo, IA — Another theme park is in the works for the state of Iowa as Waterloo has approved plans to do so.
Lost Island Theme Park will be coming to the city in 2022. The plan for the project is set to cost $100 million. The theme park will be an addition to the water park which has been a part of Waterloo since 2001. City officials declared the big addition to the park will be paid by state rise funds, city contributions and private investments according to Elwin Huffman of KOEL in Waterloo. Construction on the project is expected to begin soon and in 2019’s Best Outdoor Water Parks rated by USA Today, Lost Island was rated 2nd in the nation.
