Humboldt, IA — No injuries after a car slid through a stop sign Friday night and struck a city snowplow.

According to the police report from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Andrew Dickinson, 32, of Humboldt, was traveling northbound on 5th Street South in Humboldt when he attempted to stop at the intersection of Sumner Avenue.

Due to the icy road surface conditions, Dickinson’s 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was unable to brake and slid through the stop sign. The truck hit the right rear of a city snowplow, driven by Ricky Cofer, Jr., of Humboldt.

No citations were given to either driver, due to the road conditions.
