Iowa to the NFL

With the 2020 NFL draft now passed former college football players are now looking for their first opportunity to prove themselves at the next level. Five former University of Iowa Hawkeyes were drafted by an NFL team. These players represent the only five Iowa collegiate players to be drafted to the NFL in 2020. However many more are in the process of signing undrafted free agent (UDFA) deals to try an earn a roster spot.

KHBT will be providing a list of former players from Iowa colleges who are joining pro teams.

  • A.J. Epenesa, DE, Buffalo Bills (2 round, 54 pick)
  • Michael Ojemudia, CB, Denver Broncos (3 round, 77 pick)
  • Geno Stone, S, Baltimore Ravens (7 round, 219 pick)
  • Nate Stanley, QB, Minnesota Vikings (7 round, 244 pick)
  • Kristian Welch, LB, Baltimore Raven (UDFA)
  • Nate Wieting, TE, Cleveland Browns (UDFA)
