Bank Iowa promotes McCartan

Humboldt, IA – Bank Iowa’s local branch promotes a new vice president, loan officer who is excited for what is to come with her new position.

On Monday, May 11, Bank Iowa in Humboldt announced that Brooke McCartan would be promoted to a vice president, loan officer position. Already serving as McCartan has been part of the Bank Iowa team in Humboldt for seven years and most recent served as assistant vice president loan officer. In her new position she will be taking on a leadership role in the lending team and focus on growing the bank.

McCartan says this new opportunity excites her personally for a few different reasons. She high lights that this is a huge moment in her career and that it means a lot for her future as a lender. She also is excited for what it means with her work in the community she and the bank serves. “Very excited, of course, I’m kind of looking forward to what it can bring.”

She says that the new position comes with higher expectations that she is ready to embrace. “Those expectations to be more visible, a better advocate to the small communities that we live in” she clarifies. While being in the vice president, loan officer role doesn’t necessarily provide her any special leverage she embraces the idea of helping Humboldt County and the community. She does recognize that it is difficult to do because of circumstance going on in the world.

Bank Iowa in Humboldt is all about the community, and their newest vice president, loan officer carries that same mentality. “It’s really amazing to see how we all kind of come together in support our local businesses and kind of come all together and support one another” McCartan says. She calls it very encouraging to see in a small community. The past couple months have really shown that support each other mentality according to McCartan.

Brooke McCartan is a native of Rolfe, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2012 and started her career with Bank Iowa in Humboldt as a credit analyst after graduation.
