SUV struck by unknown animal on Hwy 169

Humboldt, IA – No injuries reported after an unidentified animal runs into the side of a vehicle on Highway 169.

Officer Tom Nielsen of the Humboldt Police Department reports that on Sunday, May 31, that Sharon Benson, 58, of Cherokee, Iowa, was traveling north on Highway 169. An animal suddenly round out from the east and struck the right front of Benson’s white Ford Explorer. Benson reports that she didn’t know what kind of animal it was an there was no carcass found at the scene.

The incident resulted to minor damages to Benson’s explorer that was driven away from the scene. No injury was reported by Officer Nielsen at the time of the incident
