Eagle Grove, IA – Humboldt High School cross country takes a couple of top three finishes during the Dick Bell Invitational.
On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Humboldt varsity cross country participated in a meet at the Eagle Grove Country Club. The Humboldt girls finished first as a team and the boys finished third.
The Humboldt girls finished with a team score of 65. This score was four points better than second place finisher Emmetsburg High School. Humboldt was led by Joslyn Orr who finished 10 with a time of 23:14. Right behind or were two teammates in Allie Hoag and Kali Beaman.

Humboldt’s boys finished third as a team in Eagle Grove. A Wildcat did get the individual win with Eric Wittrock grabbing the top spot with a time of 17:05. Jackson Chambers also finished in the top 10 for Humboldt in ninth with a time of 18:37.

Humboldt High School cross country will have the remainder of the week off from competition. The next meet of the Wildcats will be Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the All Vets Golf Course in Clear Lake.
