Local Hy-Vee donates 50 Thanksgiving meals

Humboldt, IA – Local grocery stores are providing meals to those in need this holiday season in hopes that no one has to go without.

Announced via a release from Hy-Vee all stores across their over 260 community reach will be donating meals for the Thanksgiving season. The donation goes to non-profit partners who distribute the meals to those in need.

In Humboldt, Store Director Roger Townsend confirms the store donated 50 meals this to the Humboldt County Food Pantry. Each meal includes a voucher for a turkey, bakery fresh dinner rolls and a pie along with a box of stuffing, two cans of corn and beans and a five pound bag of potatoes.

Townsend also operated the Algona store and confirms that they have donated 50 meals to their local non-profit partner as well.

Across all of Hy-Vee’s communities they have donated a total of 80,000 meals as they hope to help as many people as possible this Thanksgiving week.
