Humboldt, IA – A minor is experiencing suspected minor injuries after an accident Sunday night.
According to a police report from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, the driver, a 16-year-old male from Humboldt, lost control of his vehicle, a 2001 Ford F150 SuperCrew, on Montana Avenue in Humboldt, and ran off the road into a ditch.
The passenger, also a 16-year-old male, reported minor injuries and was taken to Humboldt County Memorial Hospital by his mother.
The driver was uninjured but was noted as operating a vehicle in a reckless, erratic, careless, or negligent manner. Minor damage was done to the F150 and it was able to be driven away from the scene.
The report states that weather conditions were clear, and the road was covered in snow. Both occupants were using seat belts.
