IDPH launches new vaccine website

Des Moines, IA – The Iowa Department of Public Health is launching a new COVID-19 vaccine assistance website.

Announced through a release the IDPH says this new website, vaccinate.iowa.gov will provide information about vaccine priority populations and eligibility. Additionally resources will be available for Iowans age 65 and older and so will answers to frequently asked questions about vaccines.

The site also hosts a locator tool where users can enter their zip code to find a vaccine provider near them. The IDPH will be partnering with 211 to provide a dedicated team of vaccine navigators who can help with scheduling appointment for Iowans 65 and older who are unable to because of technology barriers. This service will be available starting the week of March 8.

As of March 4, the IDPH is report 742,386 doses of COVID-19 vaccines having been administered state wide.
