Dakota City, IA – Humboldt County is continuing the brush control cycle with the approval of a quote.
On Monday, April 5th, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors received a quote for brush control from B & W Control. Don Reffer was present to present the annual quote.
He tells the supervisors that the county is split up into three segments that are on a yearly rotation for the brush control services in the county’s ditches. This year B & W Control will being doing the northeast corner of the county, using Highway 3 and 169 as the points of reference.
The total quote for this year for all of the ditches is for $38,500. Reffer says over the past three years the quote has been higher than the actual billed. In 2020 the quote was for $42,000 and the actual amount bill was for $28,895.58. 2019 and 2018 showed similar difference between quote and bill as well.
Following the presentation the supervisor approved the quote unanimously.
