Humboldt, IA – Humboldt High School girls’ golf finished second in a triangular against two North Central Conference rivals.
On Friday, April 23, the Wildcats hosted Algona and Clear Lake in at the Humboldt County Club. On a par 36 course (144 top four from each team), Humboldt finishes second by shooting 56 over par. Clear Lake won the meet at 39 over and Algona was third at 85 over.
The top two golfers from the meet were Clear Lake’s Meghan and Rebecca DeLong who both shot three over.
Here is how each Humboldt golfer did:
- Nora Carlson – four over
- Aries Packard – 14 over
- Noelle Hammad – 15 over
- Chloe Mayall -19 over
- Ashlee Wergeland -20 over
- Tori Gargano – 26 over
The next meet for Humboldt girls’ golf will be on Thursday, April 29. It will be the rescheduled meet from April 20 at the Oak Ridge Golf Course in Goldfield. It is a triangular with Clarion-Golfield-Dows and Hampton-Dumont-CAL. It is scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm.
