Dakota City, IA – The Humboldt County Secondary Roads Department is addressing a group of driveways that were modified outside of the county’s ordinance.

On Monday, May 10, during the Board of Supervisors meeting they discussed a location that has multiple driveways that were recently extended by a private party. The driveways that were built are not within the specifications in the county’s policy.

The board approved Engineer Ben Loots and Secondary Roads to send out a letter to warn the private party they are out of legal limits They will be given one month to do the necessary corrections or the county will do it themselves and keep the $500 deposit associated with the original project.

The board approved this action unanimously.
