Humboldt baseball falls to Estherville Lincoln Central in a pitchers dual

Estherville, IA – On Tuesday, June 22, Humboldt baseball lost to Estherville Lincoln Central 2-1 on the road.

In what became a pitchers’ dual, ELC broke the scoreless affair up in the bottom of the third inning. Their one run would get match immediately in the top of the fourth by Humboldt. Estherville was able to get the game winner in the bottom of the fourth.

Colby Clarken pitched the full game for Humboldt. He allowed four hits, four walks, and a hit batter with only one run against him earned. He struck out three Estherville Lincoln Central batters.

Owen Larson pitched the full game for ELC. He gave up just two hits, one walk and two hit batters in the win. He struck out seven Humboldt batters.
