Humboldt baseball falls to Webster City

Humboldt, IA – On Wednesday, June 16, Humboldt baseball lost 11-1 at home against Webster City.

The game between the top two teams in the North Central Conference started scoreless through two innings. Webster City when then score two runs in the top of the third.

The big inning came in the top of the sixth for the Lynx. They got sevens to increase the advantage. Two more runs would get the lead up to eleven after the top of the seven and Humboldt scored their lone run in the bottom of the seventh.

The loss moves Humboldt’s record to 12-2 this season and 5-1 in the NCC.

The next game for the Wildcats will be on Thursday, June 17, at home against Spirit Lake. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 pm, followed by a JV game.
