Humboldt County Pheasants Forever Banquet

Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt County Pheasants Forever Club is going to be holding their annual banquet on June 11.

President Nick Davis says the local chapter will continue forward with holding this event. It originally scheduled for last November as one of the earliest to occur in the region but the club decided to hold off and hold a different type of event.

“We, kind of, re-arranged a few things and in November we did a pheasant hunt and moved our banquet to this year,” says Davis. Since Pheasants forever runs off the fiscal year schedule, 2020-2021 sponsors will remain the same for the banquet. “We’re just doing it a little late this year.”

Davis says that he has had conversations with other club presidents who have already had their banquets and the feedback from members has been positive. After having these conversations with other chapters he says “it sounds like there are a lot of people who are excited to get back out there.”

Now that restrictions are being lifted, Davis says there seems to be a general buzz for people to “be able to associate with people again.” This event is a good opportunity for the community to get out of their homes and “support a cause that everybody may love.”

Funds raised from the banquet, like most Pheasant Forever Events, will stay local. “All the moneys (sic) from this event stay in Humboldt County,” the president says. The funds do not head of to the national level or any other county to be used in ways that don’t directly benefit the local club.

“Every dollar that is raised, minus your membership, membership is the only thing that goes to national, stays in Humboldt County for projects that Humboldt County Pheasants Forever Committee chooses.”

The cost of the Humboldt County Pheasants Forever Banquet will be $50 dollars per member. That is for the cost of membership and meal ticket. Additional persons per member can be added on for a $20 meal ticket.

The meal will be a steak dinner. They will also have games and raffles to win prizes. They will also have a live auction to help raise funds for the club.

The Humboldt County Pheasants Forever Banquet is Friday, June 11. The doors will open at 6 pm.
