Humboldt renews agreement with five townships

Humboldt, IA – The City of Humboldt is renewing their fire protection agreements with other county township.

During the meeting of the council on June 7, they were presented with this renewal action item. The townships included are Grove, Beaver, Cornith, Weaver and Rutland.

City Administrator Travis Goekden says this renewal is now a three year agreement. It previously was a renewal on a yearly basis. There is a tax levy of $.6075 per 1000 of taxable valuation to each township.

Council approved the renewal of the fire protection agreements as presented.
