Humboldt, IA – possible minor injuries are reported after a vehicle is overturned on the Sumner Avenue Bridge.
Officer David Jones of the Humboldt Police Department files the report on the single vehicle incident. The reports says that on Friday, July 2, Cody Winkler, 34, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was traveling west on Sumner Avenue. The driver admitted to being distracted by looking at the river. The driver told Officer Jones that the vehicle was newly purchased and that he did not have insurance or a driver’s license.
The incident left Winkler’s silver Chevrolet Malibu disabled and it was towed away from the scene. Winkler was taken to Humboldt County Memorial Hospital to have his potential injuries checked.
Winkler was given two citations for not having insurance and a valid driver’s license.
