Humboldt, IA – The new buildings at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds are standing strong, mainly complete and ready for the coming fair.

As previously reported, the Humboldt County Fair Board has chosen to invest in the fairgrounds to help to increase the value of the fair. This includes the building of two new 60 X 120 buildings.

One of the buildings will serve multiple purposes. It has concrete floors that will have portable pens to hold hogs during the fair. It will also function as winter storage that can be rented out by the community.

The second building is a new horse stable for the harness racers and others. It has a dirt floor and has higher occupancy ability than the previous stables.

Both of the buildings were given updated LED lighting and electrical systems. The water systems under the fairgrounds were also repaired with new lines being run under the new buildings.
