Humboldt, IA -At today’s Humboldt City Council Meeting, the council will consider a resolution creating a new police sergeant staff position for the city of Humboldt.
The council will also consider a request from the Humboldt Athletic Boosters to close Sumner Avenue for the annual Cy-Hawk event in Humboldt on Sept. 9.
The council will also consider a request allowing the consumption of wine and beer on the public street at the event. The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm at the Humboldt Municipal Building.
