Humboldt, IA -The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has hired a new Civil Deputy to replace Jean Moss, who is retiring. Ashley Hefty is the new Civil Deputy, and Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Kruger says Hefty is a good fit for the position.
Moss is retiring after 12 years of service in the Civil Deputy position. Kruger says Moss will be missed.
Hefty will be training with Moss until January 1. and will take over the position after that.
