Humboldt County enters opioid settlement agreement

Dakota City, IA – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed Resolution  2021-22, authorizing Humboldt County to enter into an opioid settlement agreement, joining 66 Iowa Counties in the lawsuit against 7 manufacturers of Opioid drugs.

The case has been ongoing since 2018,  and as previously reported, it has not been determined how much Humboldt County will be receiving, but the money will go to opioid rehabilitation organizations and programs  in the County.  No timetable has been given on when the funds will be allocated.
