Humboldt, IA – Humboldt Community School District Superintendent Jim Murray notified families on Thursday of a social media post on the platform TikTok about a a nation-wide anonymous threat to school safety. Murray said the widely shared post refers to a threat to school safety for every school in the USA, even Elementary for Friday December 17th. The threat is not believed to be credible but the District has been in contact with local law enforcement. Here is Murray with more.
Murray also says it is important to avoid the sharing of posts online that refer to school safety threats and for parents to closely monitor their children’s social media and cell phone activities.
