Harcourt, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats’ softball team was victorious in their season opener on the road against Southeast Valley Monday night, winning the game 3-1 in 11 innings.
Regan Lee pitched a complete game, allowing 1 earned run on 8 hits. Elsie Hubbell registered two hits and a run, Abby Armitage and Mia Schluter each had a hit and a run scored, Paige Oeheim had a double and Claire Dieleman had a hit.
With the win, the Cats begin their 2023 season 1-0.
