Bode, IA – Not many details have been released as a Humboldt County elementary school went into a lockdown today due to police activity nearby in Bode.

According to an email sent out to parents within the Humboldt Community School District from Superintendent Jim Murray, Twin Rivers Elementary School went into a lockdown today at 1:00 p.m. out of what the district calls as an “abundance of caution” while an arrest was occurring three blocks away from the school by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The school said it operated “business as usual” and there was never any threat to students or staff. At approximately 1:50 p.m., the notification of an all-clear was received.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has revealed that a search warrant was executed in Bode, but did not release the details regarding what the search warrant was for.
