(KHBT) – The National Weather Service says a Wind Advisory is in effect for our area until 6:00 p.m. CDT tonight.

During the advisory, northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are possible, at times for portions of central, north central, northeast, northwest, and west central Iowa.

Impacts for the area include: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
The weather service advises that winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
