Humboldt, IA – The annual Humboldt Fourth of July Parade is in a couple of days with the fourth of July holiday as organizers continue to prepare for the annual event.

Doug Vinsand is an organizer for this year’s parade and says this year’s event will be much like the parades held in the past.

The cutoff for parade registrations was Friday June 27. Vinsand says it would be a good idea to line up early if you are in the parade.

This year’s parade Grand Marshal is lifelong Humboldt County resident Russ Jensen. The Fourth of July parade will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday July 4. After the parade, a fireworks show will be lit off from the fairgrounds at 10 p.m. with patriotic music played on KHBT during the display.
