NWS – An Extreme Heat Warning has been extended for Humboldt County and much of central Iowa until 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Heat index values as high as 107 degrees are expected, creating dangerous conditions for anyone spending extended time outdoors. Residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity, seek air conditioning when possible, and check on vulnerable neighbors and relatives.
