Humboldt, IA – The Humboldt 4th of July Parade will once again be put together by a group of volunteers.
In 2020 the annual parade was taken over by a group of eight local individuals following the dissolving of the chamber of commerce. That same group will once again be putting on the parade.
Member of the Committee, Brandy Satern says that not much will be changing this year from last. The event will be held Sunday, July 4, starting at 7 pm. They have begun accepting parade entries at this time.
The parade route will be returning to the original route used in 2019 and before. It will start by heading west on 1st Avenue North at the Intersection with Taft Street North. The route will quickly turn south on 8th St. N before turning east on Sumner Ave. From there it will go to 4th St. N, turn northbound bound before turn back west on 4th Ave. N and finish by round rounding Taft Park.
These interested in being a part of the parade can contact the committee at humboldtiowaparade@gmail.com or by calling Brandy Satern at (515)890-1441 or Cody Lawman at (515)351-1559.
