Food Drive

The Girl Scouts Springvale Service Unit is having a Food Drive on Saturday, January 11th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Pantry items may be donated during these hours to HyVee and Fareway.  Items in high need: Canned goods, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, laundry soap, deodorant, instant potatoes, peanut butter and monetary donations are always welcome! Pancake Breakfast

On Sunday, January 26, the St. Mary school board will be kicking off Catholic Schools Week with a pancake breakfast served by Chris Cakes in the Parish Center, serving from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
This is a free will donation and will go towards a scholarship(s) for a high school senior that is a parishioner and attended St. Mary Catholic School.

Lion’s Club Soup Supper

The Humboldt Lion’s Club is having their annual Soup Supper on Friday, February 7th. This year, the proceeds go to help fund the new ambulance at HCMH. They will be serving Chicken Noodle and Chili on Friday night February 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 under 12 years old. Get your tickets from any Lion’s member. Carry outs will be available.

Eagle Scout Luncheon

Are you an Eagle Scout with a connection to Humboldt County?  If so, you are invited to a luncheon in your honor sponsored by Humboldt’s Boy Scout Troop 108.  Mark you calendars for 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 9th at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Soup Luncheon

There will be a Soup Luncheon following mass on Sunday, February 16th from 11:30 to 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church in Livermore. The menu consists of chicken noodle soup, chili, and cinnamon rolls. Fee will donations will be accepted and all proceeds go toward a handicap accessible ramp to be installed at the church.

NEW START BETTER HEART WALK/RUN – HCMH

New Start Better Heart Walk

Let’s Celebrate Cardipulmonary Rehab Weeks and join us for the NEW START BETTER HEART WALK/RUN on Sunday, March 1st from 1-3pm at the Humboldt Recreation Center. Cost is $10 per person (Payable at the door by cash or check made out to the HCMH Foundation. Proceeds from this event will go to a NEW Glucometer for the HCMH wellness hub.

1st 50 People to arrive receive a FREE Gift.

All participants will be entered to win door prizes (you do not need to be present to win)

Saint Mary’s Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry

Saint Mary’s Knights of Columbus will have a Lenten Fish Fry every Friday during Lent at Saint Mary’s School Gym in Humboldt now thru April 3rd. The menu consists of Fried fish, Baked or French fried potatoes, Cole Slaw, Texas toast, Desserts and Beverage. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available from any Knights of Columbus member or at the door. Carryout is available on the north side of the building.

Carol Johnson Benefit

There will be a benefit for Carol Johnson who is battling cancer, on March 7th from 11 to 1:00 pm at the Bode Community Center.  There will be a silent auction. Maid-rites, baked beans, chips and bars will be served for a free will donation.  Donations may also be sent to Carol Johnson Benefit, West Iowa Bank, PO Box 116, Bode, Iowa 50519.

Saint Mary’s Daddy Daughter Dance @ Saint Mary's Gymnasium

Please mark your calendars for the much anticipated Daddy-Daughter Dance to be held March 7th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the St. Mary’s gymnasium. Tickets are $35 per couple and $10 for each additional child. The ticket includes a flower, appetizers, drinks, photo, door prizes, games and dancing. Tickets can be purchased at St. Mary School or Abens-Marty-Curran Agency.
