Des Moines, IA — Construction business in Iowa continues to flourish as a new report from the Associated Builders and Contractors Incorporated has Iowa tied for 2nd with Nebraska and only trailing Montana for the lowest non-seasonally adjusted (NSA) unemployment rate in the nation for construction.
It’s the second lowest rate on record for Iowa at just 2% and President and CEO of ABC Iowa Greg Spenner says if you’re considering a career change or career path there is no better time to get into a trade.
To go along with the trend nationally, the construction unemployment rate fell 1.8% from last April to 4.7%.
