ATV incident involving fence post

Humboldt, IA – Possible serious injuries suspected after a four-wheeler strikes a fence post two weeks ago.

Officer Kylie Zender of the Humboldt Police Department reports that on Saturday, March 7, that Robert Etheridge, 55, of Humboldt was traveling northbound on 15th Street North on a blue Yamaha all-terrain vehicle four-wheeler when he ran off the roadway to the right. Etheridge proceed to strike a fence post on a nearby property but did not get ejected from his four-wheeler.

The incident resulted in minor damages to Etheridge’s ATV and about $300 in damages to the fence. According to the report there were “suspected serious” injuries and Etheridge was transported to the nearby hospital for further evaluations.
