Des Moines, IA – An Iowa Senator is among those appointed by the president to help reopen the country’s economy.

On Thursday, April 16, Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) announced via social media that she will be part of the task force charged with helping re-open the United States economy. In her post she states she promises to continue to bring Iowan’s voices to the table. She also says she will help ensure the task force strikes the best possible balance between public safety and getting things back up and running.

Ernst words echo similarly to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds about the importance of balancing reopening businesses and assuring there is not another large scale outbreak leading to having to shut everything back down.
