No preschool roundup, Humboldt parents need to contact Mease about plans for 2020-21

Dakota City, IA – Humboldt Schools encouraging all parents with preschool eligible children to reach out and let the district know of their intentions for the coming school year.

In a press release from the Humboldt Community School District they announce there is no scheduled makeup date for the Preschool Round-up/Open House at Mease Elementary. However, they still encourage parents in Humboldt with children who will be eligible to attend preschool reach out to inform them of their 2020-21 school year plans.

Children eligible to attend preschool at Mease Elementary will need to be four years of age by September 15, 2020. There is no cost to parents for the voluntary preschool in the state of Iowa. Transportation is also provided to and from the school for children.

Parents may email or call the school and provide their child’s name and date of birth. They will also need to provide a best means of contact so the school district can reach out. Call Mease Elementary secretary at 515-332-3578 extension 6515 or email her at [email protected].

Preschool Round-up was initially scheduled for March 24 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and regulation laid out by the Governor. Any questions regarding child eligibility or Mease Elementary preschool can be answered by school secretary Michelle Thomas or Principle George Bruder.
