Humboldt, IA – HCMH will now require all those coming into their facilities to have homemade face coverings

In a press release from the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital they announce that all those coming into their facilities will be required to wear a face covering. CEO Michelle Sleiter writes that this change will going into effect as of May 6 and continue until further notice. This decision is based on recommendations from the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention and the local health experts at HCMH.

HCMH and Sleiter are highly encouraging patients and visitors use their own cloth or homemade coverings. This will help conserve the supply of masks for front-line medical staff. However, if you do not have a mask on at the time of arrival, you will be provided one. They also say all visitor restrictions are still in place until further notice with few expectations.

HCMH reminds everyone the most effective way to protect oneself from the virus is keeping hands washed and continuing to practice social and physical distancing. When social distancing is not possible, cloth masks or coverings in public does help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Michelle Sleiter and the staff at HCMH appreciate your understand and compliance with these mandatory guidelines.
