Humboldt County Fair names 2021 Fair Queen

 Humboldt, IA -The 2021 Humboldt County Fair queen was crowned on Wednesday night and Humboldt High School graduate Aneisha Sritharan  was named the winner. Sritharan says it is a special honor to be named fair queen.

To become fair queen, Sritharan had to go through a process that included individual and group interviews, presenting biographies to judges and a group meal before the judges made their decision. 

Sritharan had a distinguished high school career that included being Humboldt High School’s Class Valedictorian selected as the Governors Scholar while being involved in many extra-curricular activities. She was involved in the school marching, jazz, concert and pep bands and was the drum major in the marching band. She was also involved in the Wildcats Dance team, group and individual speechfall and spring musical plays, mock trial and Spanish club.

Sritheran is busy at the fair helping out with various events being a part of the community, she also wants to thank those that have supported her on her journey. 

Sritharan will be attending the University of California-Berkeley this fall and will be majoring in neurobiology.
