Humboldt, IA – After a gas leak over the weekend cancelled classes on Monday, St. Mary’s School in Humboldt will resume operations at 8:10 a.m. today.

Mid-American Energy did find a gas leak in the building and resolved the issue Monday afternoon. In a statement, the school said they are grateful to the Mid-American workers for their hard work and conciseness in locating the gas leak and that the facility is now safe for our students and staff.

The school also thanked school families for their flexibility and patience and says they look forward to having the students back in the building.
