A free will donation benefit concert will be held on November 13th from 5pm – 10pm at the Humboldt County Fair Grounds Event Center for Cate Krichau, daughter of Clint and Cherilyn Krichau of Gilmore City. Cate is a Senior at Humboldt High School and in April of 2021, Cate was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (Bone Caner). Eli Alger, a country artist from Nashville TN will be singing. At 7pm we will have a live auction. From 5-7:30 a free will donation meal and a silent auction will be held. This is a B.Y.O.B event.

Its the 61st Annual Holiday Craft Fair on November 20th from 9am-3pm. There will be 3 locations of crafters and vendors from around the state, plus sales, games and promotions in specialty shops. Start at Robert Blue Middle School and grab your map of all locations and a punch card to fill out for a chance to win $100 in Chamber Bucks. Hours are:
Fridays: November 26, December 3, 10, and 17th from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Saturdays: November 27, December 4, 11, and 18th from 2:30-4:30 and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Sundays: November 28, December 5, 12, and 19th from 2:30-4:30
Monday – Wednesday December 20-22 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Thursday December 23 2:30-4:30 and 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Christmas Eve 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Mask wearing is strongly encouraged. The Humboldt-Dakota City Noon Kiwanis reserves the right to limit the number of visitors at any one time. People are encouraged to wait in their cars until no lines are outside the building, and someone will let you in. Since large crowds are expected, parents are urged to be patient in getting their child in to see Santa Claus.

Saint Mary’s Catholic School is holding and “Early Childhood Open House” for preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten students The Open House will be held this Thursday, February 3rd, from 3:30pm to 5:30 pm. The informational parent meeting begins at 5:30 pm. The Humboldt Community Chorus is performing “This Song’s For You” to the public this weekend. Performances will be held this Friday, Feb 4th at 7pm, Saturday, Feb 5th at 2pm and 7pm and the Final performance is Sunday, Feb 6th at 2pm. Their Big Band will be playing a half-hour before each show. The Humboldt Community Chorus presentation will be held at the R Wesley Carlson Auditorium at the Humboldt High School. Tickets are $10 adults ad $5 for children under 18 and available at Humboldt Hy-Vee, V&S Variety Store downtown Humboldt or from any Chorus member.
